Turning off iOS 26 motions and effects

Is there any other way to turn off all the "bouncy" and unnecessary motion effects in iOS 26?

It genuinely gives me a headache, and I have tried all combinations of options I could find in Accessibility but none of them fix any of what I'm referring to. I'm at a loss and regret upgrading my phone. This is awful.

Are you using iOS 26.4.2? The Reduce Motion setting was improved in 26.4, so if you have not made that update, you may find it works better for you.

The other controls for Liquid Glass are seen in this User Tip where it also details the extra options that have been added in subsequent releases of iOS 26.

Welcome and thank you for sharing your concerns, TheMightyBeetle. 😉

You can’t turn it off, however;

  • Open Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Display & Text Size, then toggle Reduce Transparency = on.
  • Also in Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Motion, then toggle Reduce Motion = on.
  • Also in Settings ➢ Display & Brightness ➢ Liquid Glass ➢ Tinted.

When you create a custom iPhone Lock Screen, you can → change the look of the clock. ⏰

In addition, you can provide ⇢ Product Feedback.

If enough requests are made, your feedback might help with future development, like a toggle in the settings.

Good luck! 👋🏼😉
