Synchronize MacBook Air and iPhone

synchronize MacBook air Tahoe 26 and iPhone 16e. I get the message in the iPhone (and iPad) that they are not synchrinizing

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 26.4

The MacBook and iPhone don't synchronize with each other-- they each synchronize with iCloud Photos or iCloud Drive at iCloud.com. This synchronization happens automatically when you have iCloud turned on with the two devices. Have you followed the steps here?

Set up iCloud on your Mac - Apple Support

We can help if there is some difficulty…


If by syncing you are meaning transferring data by a connecting cable, then see this:

Sync content between your Mac and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

This isn't exactly synchronization, since it's done manually rather than automatically, but if your are having trouble with that, let us know where in the process above things get confusing…
