In macOS Ventura 13.7.8, storage recommendations often disappear from the main Storage settings page because you have already enabled those features or your Mac is still indexing usage. When recommendations like "Store in iCloud" or "Empty Trash Automatically" are fully turned on, the system hides them from view.
Try this
Open System Settings.
Click General in the sidebar, then click Storage on the right.
Wait a few seconds for the colored storage bar to finish loading.
Click the info button next to individual categories (like Applications or Documents) to manage files manually.
Check individual app settings (like Photos, TV, or Mail) to toggle optimization preferences directly if the main list is blank.
