Safari is slow under iOS 26.4-26.4.2
Why is it that websites take significantly longer using Safari vs Chrome on iOS 26.4.2? I’m on an iPhone 17, but I tried it on an iPhone 15 with the same result.

- Are you using iCloud Private Relay?
- Do you have a VPN installed?
- What extensions do you have installed on Safari at Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions.
- Is this one website? Is so, it may be optimized for Chrome use. Google websites are definitely optimized for Chrome.
- Others can compare their results using any suggested website to determine if it is a configuration on your device. On my iPhone 17e using iOS 26.4.2, there is no significant difference between either browser for the websites I use.
