Recently, the touchbar has completely stopped working when I am in Pages. I have checked my settings multiple times and "App Controls" are on. I have also tried to restart my MacBook, and the touchbar is still not displaying the suggested words when on Pages. So far I have only noticed the Touchbar not working when on Pages. I have also tried the terminal suggestions but that is not working for me.
What model is your MacBook? And what version of macOS are you using? The latest versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote probably aren't aware of the Touch Bar. The last MacBook Pro that had a Touch Bar was the M2 13" MacBook Pro released in 2022. Apple tends to code software for current models and macOS. So, since current MacBooks don't have a Touch Bar, that support does not exist in the latest versions so they don't support it.
I, too, miss the Touch Bar. My 15" 2018 MacBook Pro had it but my 15" 2025 MacBook Air does not.
