What kind of enhancement are you referring to?

Do the photos automatically get enhanced when you are taking them, or are they enhanced, when the iPad is displaying them?

  • If the camera is automatically enhancing the photo, it may be due to the "Advanced HDR". It will make the photos more saturated and detailed. This can be turned off in the Settings > Camera, but only for older iPad models: Adjust HDR camera settings on iPad - Apple Support (EG)
  • On some Models the automatic Scene detection is changing the settings for the camera.
  • If the photo is displayed differently from the way you have taken it, it may be caused by a photographic style, applied by an iPhone, see the paragraph about photographic styles or filters: Edit photos and videos on iPad - Apple Support
  • Also, check if your iPad has this Setting: Settings > Photos > View Full HDR. If you don't like it, turn it off. It will make the photos look more saturated and detailed than they really are.

When I open Photos app..all photos in library will appear “normal” for about 2 seconds, then they will adjust and appear over saturated and washed out. This is on my IPad and photos were taken on other cameras or IPhone. In Photos settings, there is not a HDR setting…

This “enhancement” of photos is fairly recent so it is probably from some software “upgrade”. It is annoying and want to turn it off…
