Same problem as the original poster. Has been happening for some months now. Lazy suggestions say to delete and re-install app but while that works once, the problem returns. Yes my internet connection is fine. Yes I have latest iPadOS software, 26.5. Yes I have signed out and in to iTunes account. Yes I have restarted iPad.
Whatever anyone thinks of AI, in this case I see no 'intelligence' being offered.
macarra, if that works for you, that's good. For me, that has only provided a temporary way round the problem - which returns. While it is easy to delete and re-install the app on iPad that should not be how this is meant to be. I suspect this problem has been happening since iPadOS 26.4 was installed. I have no problems when using iTunes on Windows PC.
One other thought is that my anti-virus/protection software is causing this problem. As there are few other suggestions, I will investigate further myself.
