i recently bought a new PC on Win 11, installed itunes and accessed my account. the songs that i had on my ipod classic (mainly loaded via CD's ) were not on the new itunes i therefore synced the ipod with the itunes but instead of uploading my tracks onto the new itunes it deleted them from my ipod. what did i do wrong?
Nothing, but you mistakenly assumed iTunes would extract music from the iPod. Syncing with iTunes is and always has been only one way: From the computer to the iPod. Never the other way.
i'm hoping i can load them back onto my ipod from my old PC.
If your iTunes library with your CD tracks still exists on the old PC, then yes, you can sync them back onto the iPod as normal or transfer the library to the new PC and load it into the iTunes app on the new one to sync back onto the iPod.
