Can't use Disk Utility to erase HD

How to factory reset mac os monterey 12.7.6? I don't have Apple Silicon or Apple T2 Security Chip so I had to start in Recovery Mode. Open Disk Utility, but the problem is my HD is under a "Container disk2" and the Erase is not an option. How to I erase this old mac to get rid of it?

If you are booted onto macOS, you cannot erase the drive you are booted from.

If you did boot up into Recovery, you need select the drive itself not a volume or container within, to get the erase option.

If you don't see the entire drive, click on the View menu and then on "Show all devices".
