How can I backup iPhone without iCloud to my Windows PC?

Greetings,

My iPhone storage is getting full, but I don't buy extra iCloud storage just to make a backup. I would rather save the important data on iPhone directly to my Windows PC.

What is the best way to backup iPhone without iCloud on a Windows PC? Should I use iTunes, the Apple Devices app, or another method? I mainly want to keep my photos, videos, messages, contacts, and app data safe in case something happens to the phone.

I'm looking for a safe method that does not erase anything from my iPhone. Step-by-step advice would be very helpful.

Thanks!

iPhone 15

Here is exactly how to backup iPhone without iCloud:

When you connect your iPhone to a Windows PC with a USB cable, Windows recognizes it as a camera device . This means you can open File Explorer, click on your iPhone under "This PC," and browse its internal storage just like you would a USB drive.

Inside your iPhone, you will find a folder called DCIM. You can simply copy these files to any folder on your Windows PC.

How to backup iPhone without iCloud? Download and install iTunes for free from the Microsoft Store or Apple’s website.

This backup is stored locally and not in iCloud, and it doesn't cost extra.

You can find the backup files in:

C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
