Clock Announce Time uses Samantha voice instead of Siri

When I set the clock voice for announce the time to Siri, it does not use Siri, it uses Samantha. I can set it to another voice and it will use that voice with no problem. Why won't it use Siri? (a minor issue to be sure, but I like the Siri voice). MacBook Pro 14 inch Nov. 2023, Tahoe 26.4.1

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately the update did not solve the problem. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

if it helps—

From the Terminal.app you can see your setting for which voice is used for Siri, copy and paste:

defaults read com.apple.speech.voice.prefs SelectedVoiceName
