GarageBand 10.4.14: Multiple takes obscure project display

I just opened Garageband and it appears to have updated to 10.4.14. Perhaps automatically as I don't recall updating manually or receiving a notification. I am experiencing a similar issue as many other users when i open my existing projects. Although the projects appear to play correctly, the on screen display is nearly impossible to use with multiple takes cascading down from the original/chosen take with no associated track controls. On projects with many takes or tracks, I find it nearly impossible to work on the project efficiently as the required vertical scrolling obscures most of the project. This is really discouraging and other users, who describe the same problem, state that they have not received any satisfaction via Apple Support. Likewise, there has apparently been scant acknowledgment of the issue nor announcements of pending bug fixes. I can't believe that Apple is willing to leave this problem unsolved. Many of us are using an Apple product specifically because of Garageband.
