M4 Air and older Magic Keyboard bluetooth issue.

Recently bought an older Magic Keyboard (the one with the number pad that is still connected by usb to lighting) and I have the m4 MacBook Air. I bought it and right out the box it worked flawlessly. I had to turn off my laptop to attend to important matters, and when I came back it stopped working completely. It was on, fully charged, and even connected wired to my MacBook yet to my surprise none of it worked. I need help
