Calendar search not finding existing events on my new MacBook Air

My calendar has stop searching. I get some results, but not all. Even if the event is on the page I'm looking at. This is traumatic. I have decades of calendar data, and I need. some of the old stuff to do a budget that I have to present TONIGHT.

I am not going to undo my calendars and hope the restore from iCloud. I'm not sure everything is even in iCloud. How do I get the bleeping thing to re-index or whatever to get my calendar to search.

New MacBook Air. Running latest Sequoia. Just booted.

To force macOS Sequoia to re-index your calendar search, you do not need to touch your iCloud data. The Calendar app relies on the Mac's core Spotlight search database to find events. Rebuilding your Mac's Spotlight index will force it to re-read and fix the calendar search database safely.

Thanks, but I've tried this before and since there is no way to force the spotlight to index, it doesn't work.

The appointments are there. My calendar app on my Android finds everything. My old MacBookPro finds everything. It's just this new computer that doesn't.

I'd really prefer that I don't have to use my Android phone to search my iCal.
