Subscriptions refund: Report a Problem shows no eligible

Hi, I really need help with a subscription billing issue.

I was charged for subscriptions I did not intend to keep, and some of the charges were processed automatically without me realizing they were renewing.

When I go to Apple’s “Report a Problem” page, it now says:

“You have no purchases eligible for a refund.”

I already contacted the app developers (YouCam Video and YouCam Perfect/Edit), and they told me only Apple can process the refund because the payments were made through Apple billing.

  1. Is there still a way to request a manual review from Apple even if the refund page says no eligible purchases?
  2. Would contacting Apple Support by phone/chat help more than the website?
  3. Does cancelling the subscriptions affect my ability to receive a refund?

Any advice would really help. Thank you.

Have you already requested a refund using the Report a Problem website?

Usually after an initial denial, you will get one opportunity to appeal and after that the decision is final and will show that it is not eligible for a refund.

All subscriptions/free trials will renew automatically as seen on the Approval Screen that required you to double click the side button to accept those terms. Also on that screen it shows for a free trial to cancel at least a day before the trial ends to avoid the subscription charge. Cancelling the subscription does not affect your ability to request a refund.

Despite what you were told, contacting Apple directly does not initiate a manual review or override a previous denial after using the Report a Problem website, if that is what has happened. You can certainly try though, as none of us here work for Apple and only have the ability to report what has been the case for others and ourselves:
