Microsoft Word and Excel for Mac

I use a Macbook Pro. Until recently I was using Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac. It is no longer available.

I only use Word and Excel.

Can I get Word and Excel only (one time payment - low) without having to subscribe to Microsoft Office Home or Microsoft 365?

Office 2011 is long obsolete.

Microsoft offers free web based versions of the Office apps. If you want locally installed apps, you will either have to subscribe to Microsoft 365 or purchase a standalone copy of Microsoft Office.

There are lots of very questionable offerings for inexpensive license keys for Office out there. Don't get scammed.

Subscribe or purchase it from a legitimate source or use something else.

Pages and Numbers are bundled free from Apple with your Mac.

No. At least not a “low” payment. If you cannot afford the cost of the Microsoft 365 subscription consider using third party alternatives such as the ones mentioned by @Niel. All major productivity software vendors have moved to the subscription business model.

You can buy Office Home 2024 for a standalone price of $180 without a subscription.

One can purchase Office 2024 Home for Mac or PC at presently $119 USD from StackSocial dot com. I have done this three times now including a version for Windows 11 Pro (arm) — all smooth purchases that place these in one's Microsoft account for simple installation from a browser once signed into Microsoft. All electronically received license keys worked first try.
