Rename I/O labels locally or as templates in Logic Pro

Using Logic Pro 11.x - I can't believe this doesn't already exist, but it appears not? I would like to rename I/O labels but NOT globally. I want to rename them and have that be local to the project, or at least saved as an I/O template that I can import into certain projects, but not affect any other projects. With these labels saving globally, it creates a nightmare for organization and efficiency with mixing.

Has anyone found a solution to this, or a less painful workaround?
