iMac El Capitan USB install error, date reset failed

I have been working on getting this old iMac working for the past few hours and I can't seem to find a solution to get past this error. I tried resetting the date like so many forums have said but that doesn't seem to get me past this issue. I tried changing it to older dates(2015-2019), and the current dates, neither which have helped me get past this step. I downloaded El Capitan from my current Mac onto a USB and am trying to get it uploaded from the USB to get installed into the iMac so it starts working, but I haven't had much luck. Does anyone have any other solutions or ways to fix this so I could get this functional?

iMac, OS X 10.11

Unfortunately the DMG file you acquire for the El Capitan installer does not contain the actual installer application. Instead it contains a file which will extract the real "Install OS X El Capitan" application bundle into the Applications folder, however, this requires a compatible Mac to perform this step & to create a bootable macOS USB installer from it. See the details in the following Apple article regarding the macOS El Capitan installer:

You will need access to a working Mac model generally 2007 to 2015 in order to create a bootable macOS 10.11 El Capitan USB installer. You can confirm the other Mac is compatible with El Capitan by using the information in the following article singe the model years I listed are just a general guideline as there may be exceptions:
