iMovie won't allow media imports after installing Tahoe 25.5

Just installed Tahoe 25.5. iMovie won't allow imports of clips or other media through any method: dragging, finding and selecting file on Finder, you name it. iMovie is now essentially useless. Within the app, I can still play pre-edited videos, but I can't make any new ones at all. Anybody got any ideas?
