I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "(previously iTunes on computer)" but if the iPod is showing in iTunes, then you also need to set sync options in order for a sync to occur. It will not simply synchronise until you set some options for that Sync.

Unless I'm mistaken, it makes more sense to use just one Apple account. If you purchase music on two separate accounts ("iTunes" and "Apple Account") you will not be able to sue both sets of purchases on one iPod.

IPod 6 is recognised by computer with iTunes, but 'sync' button greyed out. (previously iTunes on computer) So no music sync ed onto ipod. Both signed into newly set up Apple account . Ipod newly acquired via CeX
Previously had iTunes account for computer. Just set up for apple account.
My previous iPod just sync ed first time without changing settings on computer or ipod but sadly that ipod 7 died (apparently new mother board required £200).
What settings do I need to change on ipod 6 and / or computer for them to sync ?
