Hasselblad X2D II disconnects from Mac mini USB-C

I'm using a Mac mini (Tahoe 26.5) and when I connect a Hasselblad X2D II camera that has an internal SSD via the USB-C port it shows up in finder or Disc Utility or Hasselblad Phocus software (v4.1.1 or V4) momentarily and then it disappears giving the 'Disk not ejected Properly' message although I've not actually done anything.

However, when plugging into my MacBook Air running the same software, I get the 'Do you want to allow this accessory' message, and after clicking allow, everything runs as it should and I can import the images from the camera.

I've never had any issues connecting any other camera to the Mini. So I'm wondering what is going on and how can I get the Mini to accept the camera connection??

If you are using a dock or hub, try plugging the camera directly into Mac mini.

Plus I would test the camera plugged into the Mac mini's front and rear ports.

Only laptop systems have and use the Allow accessory feature.

Because you are getting the "Disk not ejected properly" message??

This sounds more like a physical USB connection or power issues, than a software or compatibility issue.

Thanks den.thed.

That's interesting as I always use the same front port on the Mini for any of my cameras as that's the easiest to access.

I tried a rear port that I usually have a scanner connected to - the camera shows up and can be accessed.

I also unplugged an external drive from a rear port and retried the camera on the original front port - and that worked. So maybe I had one too many external drives? Four excluding the camera, which would make 5. Intersting, but at least that's the issue rather than a damaged port or software issue.

Thanks again.
