Stop accidental screen scroll to top

How can I stop the screen from scrolling to the top if I accidentally touch the top of the screen?

On iPadOS, tapping the very top of the screen (like the status bar) will automatically scroll to the top—it’s a built-in feature and can’t be turned off.


The best way to avoid it is to be careful not to touch the very top of the display while scrolling. Using a case with a raised edge or holding the device lower can help reduce accidental touches.
