I can't get my MacBookPro (MacOSCatalina 10.15.8) to use my HP printer (DeskJet 2742e). I have used it for a long time but since I deleted it from my System Preferences I can't get it in again. What do I need to do.

I spoke to someone in Apple Support Community over a month ago but the fix I was given worked for a short period of time.

That HP Deskjet 2742e printer appears to be a PCL-capable printer, that can do "imaging in the printer". It can connect via Wi-Fi or USB-2. It also supports AirPrint.
