How to update 2018 Mac Pro from Monterey to latest macOS?

I haven't updated my 2018 Mac Pro for quite sometime; I'm still on OS Monterey 12.6 (!!! - I've been ill for a few years) and I need to know the steps to get it to the latest version and get it cleaned up and operating smoothly. I have a memory card that I can download onto; last time I updated my old 2013 Mac, I had to do it in steps to keep adding the missed updates and moving upward to the latest one. I used to repair my own Mac and phones, but since a broken back and 11 hours of anesthesia, my brain struggles with tech now. To add to that, I'm now a senior on a fixed income and need to pinch every penny.

Is there a written-out, easy to follow step-by-step guide available?

For MacBook Pro notebooks with a hardware model year of 2018, the end of the line is as Niel stated.

A desktop Mac Pro bought in 2018 would be a Mac Pro (Late 2013), a cylindrical black unit that has the nickname "black trash can". You cannot upgrade that Mac past Monterey.

If by any chance you were referring to a Mac Pro (2019) minitower, a huge, highly expandable aluminum beast of a minitower, you can upgrade it to the current version of macOS (26 – Tahoe). The Mac Pro (2019) minitower is only one of four Intel-based Mac models that can be upgraded that far; and none of those four Intel-based Mac models will receive macOS 27 when it comes out this fall.
