Intel based Apps no longer Usable???

I am getting messages on computer that new OS will not allow me use any of my intel based apps. How can apple do this? I can't afford to purchase all new apps. I have three apps that I would have to pay for new versions. It would cost me aproximately $800 to replace Corel Painter and a couple filter apps. I cant afford that right now. So that makes this computer obsolete for me. This is absolutely cruel right now especially inflation being what it is. You should at least make it optional for some who use older apps on their computers. When I say older I mean 2022 versions. Im not sure what Im gonna do. I am so terribly disappointed in Apple right now. Thanks alot for not caring about people who save what little they have to purchase your MacBooks and desktops. Just buy all new software is your answer. Well not everyone can do that not that you care.

Hello,

  1. Apple is not here. This is a user to user forum.
  2. macOS 27 will still support Rosetta to run Intel based Apps on Apple Silicon Macs. macOS 28 will drop all support, so you still have over 2 years to find replacements or for the App developers of your apps to update their apps to native Apple silicon versions
  3. You don't have to immediately update to macOS 27 or macOS 28 when they're released either, you can hold back for a couple of years to find alternatives or updates and spread the cost over a longer period of time, instead of all at once. Which essentially can give you up to 4 more years to continue running Intel based apps.
  4. Contact the developers of the Apps you use to see if they are planning on releasing Apple silicon versions of their Apps. Most developers are working to release native Apple silicon Macs in the near future now.
