Unable to turn off NFC on iPhone 16 Pro

I’m attempting to turn off the NFC on my iPhone 16 Pro. This is a easy click from the setting drop down on my POS android. Siri said it should be very easy as well when I first asked her got. Then I asked again, and she gave me a different answer on how to turn it off, and when I asked for a third time, she didn’t seem to know what phone I was looking for, and gave results for android devices, even though Siri gave me the correct phone the first two times. Now, I’m seeing it isn’t even a setting. How is this possible?
