MacBook Air M2 mouse pointer stuck on left side of screen

Mouse pointer is getting stuck on the left-hand side of my screen my MacBook Air M2. So if I even touch the left-hand side of the screen, then my mouse pointer jams up and disappears. My MacBook Air is only used for schoolwork and I still have 2/3 of the hard drive free. I am going to turn off all of my sidebar functions and see if that helps but this isn’t normal and it’s happened since the new iOS update.
