M4MacBook Pro OS 15.6. Where did color picker go? I used it to color code my received emails for later action. The flags are useless because they're too small and the colors are muddied so it's hard to determine the actual color.
Any work-arounds?

Are you referring to Apple Mail?
You can select a message, then use Format->Show Colors, and select a color.
In my limited experience, this works, but the redrawing may not be immediate. I sometimes had to switch to another mailbox and then back before the newly assigned colors were shown; but otherwise it works.
Also: you can assign these colors using Rules, so, for example, messages from a given sender may automatically be colored when received.

It worked! You've saved my sanity! Been dependent on color coding my mail for years.
