How to authorize new laptop for iTunes use when all previous devices are inaccessible?

Hi,

I have just discovered my old ipod and I have loads of purchased music and stored music that I would love to access again. I have logged in to itunes after many years but I already have 5 laptops/pc's authorised to the account and cannot authorise my current laptop.

My Itunes account was set up in 2005/2006 and the previously authorised laptops/pc's are all broken and I no longer have access to these in order to deauthorise.

If I go to Account in the Itune 'task bar', I am only given the option to either authorise or deauthorise the laptop that I am using (obviously not permitted to authorise the laptop I am using) or deauthorise audible account.

I tried looking through support pages but unbeknown to me, Apple no longer offers support for ipods and my issue with itunes is not listed/answered.

Can anyone advise of a solution please? Many thanks

You need to use the Deauthorise All option, then Authorise the current laptop.

In iTunes, tap the Account option on the top bar menu and on that menu choose View My Account
the step above takes you to the Account Settings window (screenshot shown below). On this window look for Deauthorise All towards the lower right of the window:

Tap the Deauthorise All, then use the Authorise option to authorise your new laptop.
