If you want to change your login password for you Mac go to the System ➙ Login Password settings and and click on Change:

If it's some other password you'll have to be more definitive in your request.

Changing your Password:

You may be able to do so through use of Terminal:

1. Boot: in Recovery Mode
2. Enter: your credentials (if prompted)
3. Click: Utilities menu
4. Open: Terminal
5. Use this command:

resetpassword

If you have forgotten your Mac login password; after trying three attempts, you should find an option to reset your password with your Apple Account.

From there, you simply follow the prompts and your Mac should simply restart like normal.

NOTE: You may need to sign back into iCloud and other services after the successful login.
