Mac Neo order status shows 'under process' for 18 days

Is this normal?

As your fellow end users, all we can say is there are many post like yours here reporting similar wait times. For "normal," you need to ask Apple and they do not respond here.

The Neo seems very popular. When something new is popular and everybody wants one, everybody waits.

It's because lack of semiconductors, especially memory chip in the market, Apple also suffers from it, it's hard to get chips to build Mac right now. That's why your order a little bit late to delivery for you, I guess.

Probably a combination of two things:

• High demand for the MacBook Neo – due to its low price and good reviews (for a budget laptop)
• A shortage of chips, especially RAM chips, thanks to an AI company "cornering" a good part of the world's RAM chip production in a way that took even the semiconductor manufacturers by surprise.
