"Items" tab and air tags no where to be found in the "Find My" app.

On my iPhone 13, I've gone through the set-up procedure, and reset procedure 3 times now. I'd followed the steps approximately 6 months ago to reset my air tags, when after trying to find one of my three air tag items could not be found. No items were listed, and the procedure had me reset the airtags, which I did (eventually after finding the lost item) all three air tags were under "Items." Now, "Items," is gone again, and not only are the items not showing, but "Items," tab is no where to be found. If the the procedure to remedy this issue, is always to reset the airtags, doesn't that defeat the purpose in having an airtag? Please assist.

No, you do not need to reset your AirTags again. The fact that the entire "Items" tab has vanished from your Find My app means the issue lies within your iPhone 13 settings or your iCloud connection, not the AirTags themselves.

You are completely right: having to reset the tags every time completely defeats the purpose of owning an AirTag. When the tab disappears, the app simply stops recognizing that any items or location services are active.

Try this . Check Location Services

The "Items" tab will automatically disappear if the Find My app loses permission to use your location.

Open Settings on your iPhone.
Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security.
Tap Location Services at the top and ensure it is turned On.
Scroll down the list of apps, tap Find My, and set it to While Using the App.
Ensure that Precise Location is also toggled On.

there is the "find my" app, you have to use it now instead of "my items" THIS WILL SOLVE
