"Items" tab and air tags no where to be found in the "Find My" app.

On my iPhone 13, I've gone through the set-up procedure, and reset procedure 3 times now. I'd followed the steps approximately 6 months ago to reset my air tags, when after trying to find one of my three air tag items could not be found. No items were listed, and the procedure had me reset the airtags, which I did (eventually after finding the lost item) all three air tags were under "Items." Now, "Items," is gone again, and not only are the items not showing, but "Items," tab is no where to be found. If the the procedure to remedy this issue, is always to reset the airtags, doesn't that defeat the purpose in having an airtag? Please assist.
