Siri making calls without me knowing or asking to

Siri is calling contacts by itself. Often, when having a conversation and accidentally activating siri (either by accidentally long pressing the power button, or having earphones in my hand and long pressing button on it while having in ear sensor touching my hand) it would call the contact named “mom” despite conversation never having words “call” or “mom”. One time it even happened while i was in complete silence just trying to adjust earphone. What makes it worse is calling my mom by cell would include roaming charges, so unless i notice and cancel the call in time, so called flagship with perfect UI becomes a constant liability. It just happened again, and i managed to catch siri quietly show the command on my screen before initiating a call.

Is there any way to either block siri from making calls or require confirmation, without disabling siri? Cant seem to find it in the settings

the phone is Iphone 15 pro max

You cannot force Siri to ask for confirmation before making a call, but you can prevent it from triggering accidental calls by disabling call with Siri for example . This issue often happens because Siri misinterprets ambient noise, friction, or accidental button presses as a command to dial your most frequent or high-priority contact.
