Not able to access diagnostic mode on my Apple iMac 10.1

l have an Apple iMac 10.1 - l am have trouble getting into the diagnostic software. can someone please advise how to enter diagnostic mode.

Did you follow the steps mentioned in this article for an Intel processor iMac?

  1. Turn on your Mac, then immediately press and hold the D key on your keyboard as your Mac starts up. If using the D key doesn't work, press and hold Option (⌥)-D at startup instead. If neither method works, review the guidelines for using key combinations at startup.
  2. Release the key when you see a progress bar or you're asked to choose a language.
