Nike Run Club/Apple Watch/Airpods Pro

Hello, when I start a run on Nike Run Club on my Apple Watch series 11 it pairs with AirPods Pro fine and I can hear the voiceover. I start my playlist on Apple Music and that starts fine. But they then don’t work simultaneously as they should. Voiceover should lower music and revert as required. But music plays on AirPods Pro and NRC plays through Watch speaker until I select AirPods Pro on my watch. This then directs NRC to AirPods but not music and so on rather than pairing together between AirPods and Watch.

Frustrating.
