How do I fix a HomePod mini stuck in reset loop with muffled sound and unresponsive Siri?

My HomePod mini is stuck in a reset loop. I read another post and I started wiping it down with a paper towel with a small amount of window cleaner and then a microfibre cloth. I did that and it gave me the set up chime so I paired it with my phone again and when everything was set up I played a song but it was muffled. I realised Siri was on but when I went to dismiss her she wouldn’t go away no matter what I did whether it was telling her to go away or touching the screen. And then I realised I couldn’t change the volume with the buttons so I thought to only thing I could do is unplug it but that just took me back to the original problem. Is this a dirt and dust problem or is the screen failing?
