iPad Air screen recording audio is delayed

I spent 40 minutes screen recording a lesson on the screen recording function on iPad Air. When it 'saved to photos', I reviewed it and found the audio started much later than the recording even though I clicked microphone when recording. The recording was fine but the audio was way ahead. How do I fix this - this was a big waste of time.
