1st gen HomePod Mini stuck in a continuous factory reset loop—any fixes?

Hi everyone,

My 1st-gen HomePod Mini has developed a strange issue and is currently completely bricked.

It started when it randomly began playing music on its own. To fix it, I performed a manual factory reset by holding down the touch surface until it turned red and beeped. Since then, it’s stuck in a boot loop: every time I plug it into the power adapter, it immediately starts the factory reset process all over again on its own. It acts as if someone is permanently pressing down on the touch surface.

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Plugging it into a Mac (nothing appears in Finder).
  • Plugging it into a PC (unresponsive/not recognized).
  • Cleaning the touch surface.

Has anyone encountered this "ghost touch" reset loop before? Any ideas on how to force a recovery would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
