QuickTime Player screen recording has no pause option
I cant find a pause option when using QuickTime Player screen recording. Wouldnt that be a very good thing to implement? :)

long ago, QuickTime recordings DID have a pause option. I have never found a reasonable excuse as to why it was removed. and we are not allowed to speculate an apple's policies and decisions here.
you only options now are to stop the video when needed, then restart a new video. you can use iMovie to splice the recordings together. or you can keep the recording going and edit out the portions you don't want. I know it's clunky. but it is what it is. you might want to research for a third party software that has similar functions that you need.
in the mean time, you may want to send apple some feedback. they likely won't answer your inquiry, but they do read all feedback. please visit Feedback - QuickTime - Apple Support
