Focus Mode automations no longer working after iOS 26.5.1 update

Has anyone else experienced Focus Mode automations not working after updating to iOS 26.5.1?

I'm using an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and before the update all my Focus automations worked perfectly. For example:

Work Focus would automatically turn on when I arrived at my office.
Reading Focus would activate when I opened the Books app.
Game Focus would activate when launching games.

Since updating to iOS 26.5.1, none of these automations seem to work anymore. The Focus modes and automations are still configured and enabled, but they never trigger automatically.

I've checked my settings and everything appears to be set up correctly. The issue only started after the update.

Is anyone else facing the same problem? If so, have you found a fix or workaround?

Check Permissions
1. For location-based Focus: ensure Location Services is enabled for Shortcuts.
2. For app-based Focus: confirm the app is allowed under Settings → Privacy & Security → App Permissions.
3. For Driving Focus: enable Motion & Fitness → Fitness Tracking.
Force Restart & Reset Settings
1. A hard reboot sometimes clears automation glitches.
2. Resetting all settings (without erasing data) has helped a few users, though it’s disruptive.
