How to fix this bug

Applications are stored in many locations on your Mac. The easiest way to see them all is in Finder to press Command-Shift-A, or open a new Finder window and click the Application icon under Favorites in the Sidebar (assuming your Finder settings are set to show that option).

That will show you an amalgamated view if macOS apps (those are stored on a sealed, read-only volume and cannot be deleted) and user-installed apps (which are stored in different locations depending on how they were installed).

User-installed apps can be deleted from that location:

This is not a "bug" that you can fix. You are using the "Storage" tool and for some years now within MacOS it has provided inconsistent information regarding user use of storage on a Mac. neuroanatomist explains how to clearly see your Applications and the storage they are taking up. You can also simply click the "Applications" button in the top right of the display you showed in your snapshot to get information about the storage your applications are using.

A better sense might be provided by using tools like Stereograph, DaisyDisk, Omnidisksweeper ... not all of which are free. Are you running low on disk space? If not, I would not worry about this.
