It would seem much easier to use the built-in Apple on-screen keyboard, and to not use third-party apps with keyboards, and to use the existing insecure-connection browser warnings for any websites somehow still not using network connection security that browsers have all required for some years, and to use the end-to-end connection security provided by iMessage and such.

All of that is built-in, and the default.

Based on a quick review of one of the third-party apps, I’m unclear what the app might be offering, past providing a third-party keyboard with a lock icon shown, and what the Apple iPhone and iPad already provide.

As for the “Apple” point of view, this is a user-to-user forum, while the folks that work for Apple may or may not read postings around here, and only seldom reply.

The “APPLE” point of view was directed to APPLE product owners. I know that employees cannot offer opinions about this, I just wanted the forum to see what other APPLE users would think. Thanks for the info, I only use APPLE products……i.e…..my iPad has the case/keypad that I bought and picked up when I purchased my iPad directly from an Apple Store, so I am comfortable with that,,,,,but all the advertising had me concerned that i needed additional protection. From other comments it appears that my origonal thoughts are correct in NOT purchasing those apps.
