Apple Pencil Pro drawing/pressure sensitivity not working

I have had my ipad mini (a17) and apple pencil pro for 9 months.

4 months in my pencil stopped drawing, it connects to the ipad, charges, squeeze and touch buttons work, i can select apps with the tip and swipe pages, but it only somewhat draws if im drawing on the side of the tip which is very unnatural. and the pressure sensitivity is just gone. this is across all apps that allow drawing. ive changed tips, ive removed device and added it back, amongst other things

I am a college student and I do not live near an apple store. closest one to me is over 2 hours away. is there anything i can do to get this to work? I seriously only got the ipad and pencil for note taking and drawing, had it for 4 months when it stopped doing the 1 thing i got it for. so theyve been collecting dust in a drawer as ive returned to my ipad mini 6 and 2nd gen apple pencil (which ive had for 2 years and works GREAT still)

As described, the transducer element (that sits immediately under the replaceable tip) that interacts with your iPad screen may have suffered damage. This type of damage is typical of the Pencil being dropped, or excessive lateral pressure having been applied to the Pencil tip.

With the Pencil tip removed, verify that the exposed gold-coloured transducer is perfectly in-line with the Pencil body; any distortion or misalignment implies damage. When replacing the Pencil tip, ensure that the replacement is screwed snugly into position; you should see a tiny gap, of about the thickness of a sheet of paper, between the tip and pencil body. Again, when refitted, the tip should be perfectly aligned with the Pencil body.

If replacing the pencil tip does not resolve this issue, or the tip is not correctly positioned in relation to the pencil body when fitted, then your Pencil is likely to have suffered irreparable damage - and will require replacement. Other than the user-replaceable Pencil tip, the Pencil has no serviceable parts; if damaged Pencil cannot be repaired, only replaced.

If unable to resolve the problem, you would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to hands-on test and assess both your iPad and Pencil:
