Can I run Mojave and Sequoia on my late 2018 Mac Mini?

I've only got an 8GB hard drive (that was all they made) and I've looked at VMware Fusion as well as OCLP and neither appear to be an option. Does anyone know a workaround? I also looked at an external SSD with Sequoia installed but they are not affordable.

I originally looked for open source free programs to replace my programs that won't run on anything higher than Mojave, and they don't exist. I run Acrobat XI Pro not in the cloud and AccountEdge Pro not in the cloud.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that your machine shipped with an 8 GB hard drive.

The Mac mini (2018) did not ship with a hard drive. It shipped with 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB SSDs.

it may be cheaper to get a blank SSD and install sequoia onto it yourself. I would think a preloaded macOS SSD would be too expensive.

using a 128GB drive to run two separate macOS versions is a recipe for disaster. you will quickly run out of storage on one or both macOS installs. I know you don't want to spend money for an external SSD. but frankly, that is the better option.

Yes. Its maximum OS is Sequoia.

Thanks for letting me know that's my best option. It's not that I don't want to spend the money, it's that I don't have it. Forced to retire early during the scamdemic and very low income right now. Praying for that to change!

you're welcome. being retired myself, I can understand about being tight with money. and I wish I had better news for you. but I also think that a 128gb drive is not really enough to run ONE modern macOS.

the only reason I got this particular model is because I have 2 programs I mentioned in my original post that I still need to run outside the cloud. and if it wasn't for goggle, my home business would still be doing great. But that's not for an Apple discussion.

I meant to say 8GB Memory. Hard Drive is 128 GB

I'm just wanting info to run 2 OS, switch back and forth without spending a fortune on an external SSD drive. Has anyone partitioned theirs or running VM?
