Initialize 2TB storage in UGreen dock for Mac mini

Hello everyone,

I have just connected my new Mac mini with a docking station from UGreen which has 2Tb of space that I purchased with it. When I opened disk utility it was showing that this particular 2Tb of space was not initialised, so I assume that means it isn't recognised on the system.

My question is how do I get it to initialise so I can actually use the space?

I have another external hard drive that I used to have connected to my all in one imac, but it is nearly full now with all the previous backing up of files.

Any help would be appreciated.
