I’ve spent a great deal of time putting my playlists in alphabetical order in itunes. They are now mixed up. This is not the first time that this has occurred.
It seems to happen after some software updates.
Having to manually retype a hundred playlists suggests poorly written software which is completely unacceptable in a premium product. I expect MUCH better from Apple - very disappointed!

iTunes? Support for iTunes has been dwindling for the last 7 years after the transition to the Music app. You can still purchase music through iTunes, but management of music should be done in the Music app. You don't need to have a subscription to use the Music app and can manage your Library and Playlists there without a need for a subscription. In the music app, you can sort the playlists in Alphabetical order quite easily just by tapping the 3 dot icon on the Playlist you are viewing and choose Sort By. It can be sorted by Title, Artist, Album, or Release Date.
