Forgot password for a note in Notes app on iPhone
I really need to open a note in my notes app but I can’t remember the password for it. I have an IPhone 16e IOS 26.5. The note is really important.

- Have you tried using Face ID to unlock the Note?
- Or do you have another device where you can attempt to access the Note?
Otherwise, according to Apple:
Apple doesn't have access to locked notes and can’t help you access them if you forget your notes password. If you forget your notes password, resetting the password doesn’t give you access to previously locked notes. If you reset then create a new notes password, that only allows you to lock other notes.
In short, unfortunately unless you remember the password, you cannot recover the Note. Resetting the password will only change Notes moving forward, not previous Notes. Apple also cannot access your Notes as they are encrypted.
