How do I delete my account and all associated data from the Apple community?

How do you remove your account from the community? Nothing constructive shows up here. Requests to fix broken software are ignored for years. I'm asking for everything related to me to be deleted. ***

I do not think that is possible. Any threads you started would vanish and so would replies by others who may have worked hard to responded to you. Even if you no longer find those useful, there may be others visiting here who might find a solution in them.

From: Apple Support Communities Use Agreement - Apple Community section A13 you can contact the hosts directly by email here —> communityaccounts@apple.com

If your issue boils down to receiving emails from the Community, click on this link Error - Unauthorized - Apple Community (ignore the fact that it says "Error" - it should open your preferences tab) Remove the check next to "Receive content you are following" and any others you do not wish to receive.

My point was they should be able to delete the account an anonymize the data in the threads. But there isn't any way to do that, except for maybe making the name change request. But that still leaves the account behind.

Your data is anonymized, nobody knows who you are and if an email address is included it will be deleted. If you do change your Username it is reflected in every post that you made. Apple is not collecting your information shared here and selling it to advertisers.

CCPA?

When I look that up it says: California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA)

If you have feedback this Community forum is offered by Apple as an end-user to end-user technical issue support service (i.e., users like you helping other users). We are not Apple and Apple only participates here as moderators. Feedback for Apple will likely get more attention if you send it using:

Just to make the point, CCPA?

Review what the CCPA considers as Personal Information.:

  • Personal information is information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you or your household. For example, it could include your name, social security number, email address, records of products purchased, internet browsing history, geolocation data, fingerprints, and inferences from other personal information that could create a profile about your preferences and characteristics.

And for remediations of violations of CCPA:

  • You cannot sue businesses for most CCPA violations. You can only sue a business under the CCPA if there is a data breach, and even then, only under limited circumstances. You can sue a business if your nonencrypted and nonredacted personal information was stolen in a data breach as a result of the business’s failure to maintain reasonable security procedures and practices to protect it. If this happens, you can sue for the amount of monetary damages you actually suffered from the breach or “statutory damages” of up to $750 per incident.

Your posts contain no personal information and if you have chosen a User Name that is too close to your personal name, you can request to have that changed. It also pertains to data that a business "collects" from a user and the posts here were made by you. Personally I don't have any problem with the CCPA and businesses should not be able to collect personal information and sell it to advertisers. Users should also have control over any personal information stored on servers where a data breach could result in identity theft. I just don't see how any of that relates to what you posted here on a Support Forum.
