Will iPhone 17 Pro Max LiDAR sensor repair cover surrounding casing scratch?

My iPhone 17 Pro Max has a scratch on the LiDAR sensor going to the casing. I originally contacted Apple Support thinking it was just cosmetic damage, and was told Apple Care doesn’t cover cosmetic damages. But after I showed them the scratch and they checked with someone else, they said I’m eligible for a repair, but the repair was labeled as “CAMERA- LiDAR”

I forgot to ask support if they will only repair the LiDAR sensor, or will they also fix the small scratch around the outside of the sensor area. I would put a picture but well… my phone isn't here. But the scratch/crack was through the whole LiDAR sensor, and about 2mm outside the sensor, but the scratch is weirdly wide so it’s very noticeable. Will they replace the whole casing?
