How do I fix inaccurate sleep tracking on Apple Watch 5 and 9?
Hi, I'm using an Apple Watch 5, but I'm also speaking with a colleague of mine with exactly the same problem using a 9 - the sleep recording is so far out it's unbelievable. We both discussed making sure the fit is correct on our wrists, we have gone through it all together, like unpairing and re-pairing, checking all the sleep settings are correct. We both notice that some of the basics are just so wrong. In my case, the apple 5 watch, it almost always gets my sleep time and wake time wrong, it messes up with reading in bed, morning meditation, even my breathing exercises. So I know it's way out. In my friend's case, her 9 shows she is awake in the middle of the night for large chunks of time (like hours). Whereas this is not the case. One of my concerns is that if a watch can be this far out on the sleep metric what are they like with other metrics. Should I trust the AF app at all? the heart rate app? Some of these data points are being relied on.
